TryCatch ("we," "us," or "our") operates the DietTracker mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using DietTracker, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

• Name, email address, and phone number (optional) you provide when registering
• Your password (stored only as a secure, irreversible hash — we never store or can view your actual password)

1.2 Health and Fitness Information

To provide personalized calorie and nutrition recommendations, we collect:

• Date of birth, gender, height, and weight
• Activity level and fitness goals
• Meals, foods, and quantities you log
• Water intake you log
• Weight and body composition entries you log over time, and progress photos if you choose to add them

1.3 Device and Usage Information

• Device push-notification token (used only to deliver reminders you've set)
• Device type, app version, and general usage data to help us fix bugs and improve the App

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account
• To calculate your calorie and macronutrient targets
• To let you log meals, water, progress, and follow diet plans
• To send reminders and notifications you've configured
• To respond to support requests
• To maintain the security and integrity of the App

We do not use your health information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers operated by [Your Hosting Provider, e.g. DigitalOcean / AWS], located in [Region]. We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted password storage and authenticated API access, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, which may process limited data on our behalf:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — used to deliver push notifications, if you enable them. Firebase receives a device token but not your health data. See Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from within the App (Settings, Delete Account), your profile, meal logs, progress history, diet plan assignments, reminders, and device tokens are permanently and immediately deleted from our systems.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view your data at any time within the App.
• Correction: You can edit your profile, logs, and entries at any time.
• Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from Settings in the App.

7. Children's Privacy

DietTracker is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. International Users

9. Changes to This Policy
